About
Najah Qamar is a Denver born and based artist and youth program manager operating her work through her LLC, Studio Qamar. After graduating early from high school, she briefly attended MSU Denver majoring in Political Science before realizing her path asked something very different of her. The years that followed were about honing her artistic voice and need to be of service to the world. After coming back home from a 2-week service trip to Panama, she began to think deeply about how she could use her natural gifts to fulfill this need. She began teaching herself photography and painting practices, trying to find ways to make sense of her experiences. Both are now a major part of her creative practice, in addition to a music practice she indulges in quite privately. As of August 2025, she completed her MCA Denver “Creator’s Studio” internship. Here, she received entrepreneurial training to develop her business acumen, community engagement/networking skills, and her studio practice. Qamar participated in a pitch presentation that awarded her funds to develop her own youth arts program, I See Who Sees Me. She is a newly appointed Program Manager for her family’s art and education focused 501(c)(3), The Johnson Legacy, Inc, a long-standing organization. She is now an exhibition intern with the Colorado Photographic Arts Center, substitute teaching, and pursuing her degree in Arts Education.
